Industrial Ethernet: Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP. This is the current mainstream and trend, providing high-speed, high-bandwidth communication.


Traditional Fieldbus: PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet, CANopen, CC-Link. Commonly used for retrofitting legacy systems or in specific industries.

Application

1. Main Control Node for Large Equipment or Production Lines


Scenarios: Medium to large injection molding machines, die-casting machines, printing presses, and packaging production lines.


Application: Install 1-2 32-channel DIO modules in the electrical cabinet of the equipment as a local I/O hub. It centrally processes all digital signals from limit switches, buttons, sensors, solenoid valves, indicator lights, etc., on the entire equipment, communicating with the central PLC via only one Profinet cable. The structure is clear and maintenance is convenient.


2. Intensive Material Handling and Sorting Systems


Scenarios: Express sorting centers, automated warehouse inbound and outbound stations, and vehicle assembly line body conveyor systems.


Application: Use one 32-channel module at each sorting point or conveyor section. It can connect to numerous photoelectric sensors (detecting package position), limit switches (detecting pallet positioning), and solenoid valves controlling sorting push rods/flippers. High-density I/O perfectly matches the concentrated signal points characteristic of this type of application.
