The IO-Link Slave 8-Port 16-Input Module IP67 is a powerful tool for optimizing field signal acquisition. It's more than just a signal "junction box"; it's an intelligent node with digitization, diagnostics, and networking capabilities.


Its value lies in transforming the most tedious and error-prone field wiring work into simple, reliable, and intelligent digital connectivity. It's particularly suitable for scenarios with high sensor density, limited installation space, harsh environments, or moving parts. It's a key component for improving equipment integration, reliability, and maintainability, and a crucial foundation for realizing the concepts of "plug-and-play" and "modular machine design."

  • Input capabilities: 8 ports, 16 inputs

High Density: Provides 16 input points within an extremely compact space.

Direct Connectivity: Each M12 port can directly connect to a dual-channel sensor (such as a photoelectric sensor with two independent switch outputs), or connect two single-channel sensors via a hub.

Simplified Wiring: Replaces the complex wiring of the traditional 16 signal lines back to the PLC with a single IO-Link cable (connecting to the master station).


  • Input Type and Performance

Type: Typically 24V DC digital inputs (DI/PNP), conforming to industry standards.

Diagnostics: Each input should have a status indicator (LED) and be able to detect faults such as short circuits, open circuits, and overloads, and report detailed diagnostic information via the IO-Link protocol.

Application scenarios

  • Large and Complex Fixture or Pallet Status Monitoring


Scenario: Automotive welding fixtures or machining pallets are equipped with a large number (>10) of proximity sensors to detect whether the workpiece is accurately positioned, whether the clamping cylinder is in place, and whether the pins are inserted.


Application: An 8-port, 16-input module is directly mounted on the fixture or pallet body. All sensor short cables are connected to the module at the nearest point. The module moves with the fixture/pallet via a cable chain—a friendly IO-Link cable—and communicates with the master station at the stationary end. This solves the problem of easy wear and breakage of numerous cables on moving parts.
