The Superisys IACM-P4 series industrial gateway is an RFID controller designed for industrial automation and field data collection. It supports standard industrial bus protocols, including PROFINET, EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP, helping RFID systems connect smoothly with different PLC platforms.
The IACM-P4 series includes two M12 T-CODE power supply interfaces, two M12 D-CODE 4-PIN bus interfaces, and four M12 A-CODE RFID read/write head interfaces. With an industrial Ethernet transmission rate of up to 100Mbps, multiple bus modules can be cascaded to the PLC, providing strong on-site data collection capability for smart manufacturing lines.
The housing is made of lightweight and sturdy engineering plastic. It offers a wide connection range, strong communication capability, good environmental adaptability, and high protection performance, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments.
✅ Connect up to 4 RFID read/write heads
The IACM-P4 series can connect four RFID read/write heads at the same time. Each RFID port can work independently, making it suitable for multi-station reading and writing in production lines.
✅ Supports major industrial protocols
The gateway supports PROFINET, EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP protocols. It can be used with different PLC systems and industrial Ethernet environments.
✅ IP67 protection level
With IP67 protection, the gateway can adapt to harsh working conditions such as oil, dust, moisture, and other common industrial site challenges.
✅ Dual network ports with integrated switch function
The dual network port design supports integrated switch functionality. It can help form star or tree network structures, making system wiring and expansion more flexible.
✅ Reliable circuit protection
The power input supports reverse connection protection and 3000W surge protection. The RFID port also supports anti-reverse connection, overvoltage, and overcurrent protection, helping improve system stability.
The main components of the RFID architecture system include the PLC controller, gateway bus controller, RFID read/write heads, and RFID tag carriers.
The controller, usually a PLC, sends commands to control the RFID read/write head.
The gateway bus controller communicates with the PLC and indirectly controls the RFID read/write head.
The RFID read/write head, including UHF or HF RFID readers, receives the controller command and performs data reading or writing operations on the RFID tag.
The RFID tag carrier is used to store data. For HF RFID tags, the storage area usually includes a UID area and a USER area. The UID area is generally read-only and unique, while the USER area can be read and written depending on the tag model.
